My name is Stuart Mallinson.
I am working for Inland Andalucia Franchisees as a result of a chance conversation with “Graham G”, “the boss”. I had retired…….one of the people who works here referred to me as, “The Insider.”
This is because in the late 1980´s, I was an “Intrapreneur” a Franchisee, with Grand Metropolitan. Later in my career, I was a member of the Franchisee Operating Board, for a large company in the Health Care sector. I supported the 50 + Franchisees in their day to day operations and nurtured their relationships with the Franchisor.
I have relevant experience of the Real Estate business in Spain. I wanted to move to Spain to be close to my Mother who was becoming elderly and frail. I qualified as a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD in 2000. I have been a “Trainer” for many years, learning in the Army and going on to be a Senior Instructor in The School of Artillery in the Sultanate of Oman.
So, I have insight from both sides and understand the weight of relationship between the Franchisee and the Franchisor and I am an experienced trainer. I have been working with many of the existing Staff to formalise the training package and we have plans to update the delivery of training to the benefit of the Franchisees.
My mother moved to Spain in 1981 and since then, I have visited, lived and worked here, gaining Spanish Real Estate experience as the Quality Manager for a large real estate company based in San Pedro de Alcantara, near Marbella. I steered the company through what was then ISO 9002 through Lloyds of Bilbao. The company had c 54 offices on the coasts of Spain running from Cadiz to Alicante. There were also offices in some inland areas, ie Rhonda and Antequera. Other offices were in the Canary Islands. I visited these along with my wife and my credit card!!
I live in a small village near Alcala la Real and work from varying offices in the Inland Andalucia family. I prefer the life here, inland. My lifestyle and work life balance is absolutely stress free! When I think of my UK wide role, driving to all points on the mainland between Plymouth and Aberdeen, in all weathers; the train journeys into London linking to the packed tube trains, the potential to pick up bugs and colds by being a sardine and the extremely long hours, the rain……the rain…..and compare that to my morning swim, my working day, my evening swim followed by a sundowner, I feel blessed!
Mind you, making a big decision to move to Spain is one thing. Making the decision to move and join us as a Franchisee is quite another – a very attractive proposition as it offers a superb way of relocating and earning a living! The training, systems and support are second to none. We will do the work to set you up to be successful. Just go to:
